NFL Comcast Agree on deal, comcast adding espnu as well

The Wall Street Journal
reports that the NFL Network and area cable TV giant Comcast have
settled their long-running dispute over carriage of the NFL Network.
Comcast will pay a monthly fee of about 45-cents for each of the
roughly 10 million “Digital Classic” subscribers among Comcast’s
roughly 24 million customers. The NFL had accused Comcast of
discriminating against it while giving favorable treatment to
programming owned by the major cable companies, including Comcast’s own
sports networks. Comcast responded that the NFL Network didn’t appeal
to a broad enough segment of its subscribers to justify a high fee or
carriage on its widely-viewed expanded basic tier…..

In addition to today’s deal between Comcast and the NFL, Jim Williams in the Examiner
tells us that Comcast has reached agreement with ESPN to provide
digital cable sports tier access to ESPNU, a college sports channel,
and ESPN 360, a broadband sports service…..

My thoughts-well ITS ABOUT TIME, just sucks we have to wait till aug 1 for nfl.

Kings to saturday nights?

NBC is pulling the plug on Kings airings on Sunday night, opting instead to air Dateline.  Kings episodes will be burned off on Saturday nights at 8pm beginning April 18.   Given the numbers, which were already not good, and on the trend of getting worse, it’s hardly a surprise.

From James Hibberd:

Sunday’s Kings episode was seen by 3.6 million viewers and received a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. Yet Dateline had a 1.5 rating in its half hour leading into Kings. NBC suspects an expanded Dateline will provide a better lead-in for 9 p.m.’s Celebrity Apprentice, which has seen some audience erosion in recent weeks that might be attributed to Kings.

TrL is finally done in NOV 08. because of the recent successes of music vids being online. they will let go of TRL and instead keep pete wentz to do FNMTV every friday to take it spot

Finales

NCIS:

The finale was really good, but you need to make sure you see the previous episode or you may find yourself a little lost. Spoiler alert: they killed off the director, but we all new that was coming, why else would they bringing up Jenny’s possible involvement in that murder. What’s a finale without a cliff hanger! The newly promoted director, Vance, split up the team! Gibbs was given a pile of folders with information on his new team. DiNozzo was sent to some naval ship, and McGee was transferred to work on the navy’s computers. I doubt this break up will last, we can expect to have the beginning of the next season focus on bringing the team back together.

Personally over the summer I going to miss Duckey’s assistant, Palmer,

He’s very hot, love the scientist look and sex in a morgue very kinky!

Bones:

The finale was full of twists and turns, a new suspect appeared in every other scene. Although I am a little worried that they summed up all the major story lines, and it became more a series finale than season finale. Were they unsure about returning, I hope not! Spoiler alert: I totally thought they brought Sweets on to be the apprentice, never expected Zack, guess you have to look out for the naïve innocents.

Personally I:

Love the bath scene, it was hilarious

Loved watching Bones nock Booth out, you go girl!

Wonder who will replace Zack?

Glad they are keeping Sweets, adds good comedy relief!

How I met your mother:

The finale was Hilarious! What else would you expect? Spoiler alert: Ted ends up in a car accident and Barney gets hit by a bus running to the hospital to visit him. Ted is completely fine but realizes how much he loves the doctor and proposes. Barney is the funniest person ever in a body cast! Plus we find out that he is totally in love with Robin, I never saw that coming. Top three scenes in this episode:

“There’s one bones that’s not broken”

The pencil up Barney’s nose was great

“I have a giant head”

House:

Finale was great! It is actually two episodes so don’t watch just the last because it makes no sense on its own. House’s and Wilson’s friendship is totally pushed to the brink when House is unable to figure out what is wrong with Wilson’s love Amber. Spoiler alert: House is in a bus accident with Amber and suffers severe head trauma. He is unable to remember events, just has a sense that someone will die if he doesn’t remember. The two episodes are spent with House using various unprecedented and extremely harmful methods to bring back his memory. Even with all of House’s efforts and genius they are unable to save Amber. Wilson’s attempts push House to the brink and the episode totally cuts off with him in a coma.

Ugly Betty:

The finale was very funny and of course full of “Betty” drama! Spoiler alert: Geo and Betty are starting to really hit it off and he invites her to join him on a trip to Rome. Unfortunately Henry shows up again and proposes to Betty. I’m sorry if Henry needs to go take care of his new baby and Charlie! If he was so in love with Betty all this time why was he sleeping with Charlie while flirting with Betty? We know she made a choice but they left of hanging as to whom. My vote is definitely for Geo! Betty is the only one with tons of Drama! Daniel apparently has son with a French supermodel who has recently died and left him the sole guardian. If that wasn’t enough to deal with Alexa totally went behind her mother’s and Daniel’s back and gave Willimina MODE! So Mom and Brother are totally upset as they should be
